It sounds as though they are losing some pioneers as they enter their 50's. Almost certainly they're hanging up their magazine bags and stating that they now have to provide for their ageing parents. This article is intended to effectively counteract that tendency. The pioneer's excuse to call it a day is now out the window. Poor pioneers.

Full-time service is MORE IMPORTANT than taking care of elderly parents!!! It says so in the Sept 2014 WT
by EndofMysteries inparagraph 20 out of the article in the sept 2014 study wt about fulltime service says this.... .
"full-time servants age, and so do their parents.
when parents are witnesses, likely their fondest wish is for their children to stay in their assignments.

Changes in DF reporting
by fader77 into all bodies of elders.
re: notification of disfellowshipping or disassociation.

Couldn't we have some copies of these DF forms? If a whole bunch of us then filled in the forms, with either spoof or real names and inundated the Branch with them, who knows what chaos might ensue?

The Ravings of Trolls Distracts FOCUS From Real Watchtower Scandals
by cofty inmy thread was inspired by gentledawn's insightful comment about the effect the events in wales had on her jw husband.... hope any lurkers out there can filter out the signal (storys and experiences like this) to noise (the current trolls running amok on the forums) ratios.
this the problem with those who focus on outrageous fantasies about the watchtower.
it distracts from the real issues that need to be highlighted.. what happened in wales was for real.

Thanks Focus, I'll pass on your felicitations to my big bro.
He does still post, mainly on Topix, but he's now a 5 x grandfather and takes it all with a punch of salt these days.

FOOTNOTE
** Memory can play tricks. Having only just heard of the sad death of my dear colleague Farkel.. I've looked again at his posts, and saw he had recently claimed to have led the Exodus from H2O to here (as in, he was the first)
Doug was scrupulously honest, as I am, and I therefore know it must have slipped his mind that it was I who had joined and started posting on (what was then) JWD five weeks before he did, and had encouraged the bunch of others to follow me. H2O was busted.
The members' directory here confirms I'm right:
Focus Joined 2/6/2001
Farkel Joined 3/14/2001"Englishman joined 2/4/2001 and brought over most of H20.

A precious gift to all from Jehovah (channelled via Focus)
by Focus insome souls here may feel i was a little harsh.
if so, i am deeply sorry.
i was abused by a handful right from the start, presumably on the basis of the avatar picture (and 2001 vintage).. when visiting dubland, i often find that others start fights with me - for whatever reason, and i provide quite a supply of them - and when it doesn't quite go the way they expected, they cry persecution.

I always enjoyed your stuff, Focus.
But upping the gradient can be a lonely path. I wish you well.

So wait, the US lost, and we're still advancing? Sweet. I'm starting to like this sport.
No. They were mediocre but slightly better than Portugal so they just edged it.
Enjoy it. After all, most of the US team play in the English Premier league - the highest accolade of all!

USA did OK. 39% possession, never enough to win, but it could easily have been a draw and the point gained from that could have been essential. As it was the USA go through on goal difference.
Basically, the USA won one, lost one and drew one. So they gained 3 points for the win and 1 for the draw. A total of 4 points. Portugal, who are in the same group, also played 1, drew 1 and lost 1, but in the process conceded 3 goals more than the USA, so the USA went into second place in the group and portugal third. Consequently, USA go into the last 16.
Well done!

Assembly News Photo
by snare&racket inthis photograph from a news site is a succinct summary of a life in wt's hands....... look at their faces, it says it all.. also, note the watchtower pr machine in action, explaining that it brings 4 million dollars to the location.
(10,000 x 400 dollars) clearly a watchtower statistic, where is the care and interest for members who are struggling so much, with new videos encouraging less career activity, less work commitments, at an all time economic low for our generation.. http://www.standard-freeholder.com/2014/06/15/thousands-attend-watchtower-convention-in-cornwall.

If you were on your death bed, what is the ONE thing you would say you have learnt ?
by new hope and happiness ini think i would say " you can not change others you can only change your self" .

No-one on their death-bed ever said "I wish I'd spent more time at work".
